Jenn is a very feminine and stylish working dog. She was an enthusiastic pup
who could not wait to learn more and expressed her disapproval vocally if she
did not get to go to sheep. This dog is very precise in her movements. She is
the kind of working partner that can be counted on to do the job quickly and
with order.
Her understanding of stock is overwhelming at times as she takes the initiative
and does her part before she is asked. She does what it takes to move her
sheep
and seems to recognize how much it takes.
She is a wide outrunner but not to a fault. Her flanks are naturally square
but she has no problem working in corrals or pens as some wide running dogs
do.
She is a very affectionate dog, extremely devoted and a pleasure to have around while working in the pens or sitting by my side in the house.
Jenn placed 3rd in the Canadian Nursery Championship in Delia, AB 2003 one point behind her kennel partner, RMS Ike, the Reserve Champion.
She earned the award for the Best British Columbia dog at the Western Canadian Stock Dog Championship (Open only) in 2004 in Broderick, SK
Jenn was bred to Del'mar Turk in the fall of 2003.
Her
pups should be showing up on the trial field in the next year or so. One of
her pups, RMS Chime, owned by Francis Chai of Arizona, ran in her first trial
at Coalinga, CA this fall. She gripped out the first day and placed 7th. the
second day out of 40 dogs entered.
We are very excited about this breeding and so far, very happy with the outcome.
